Video The History Channel, History vs. Hollywood: Kingdom of Heaven

Camino Media for The History ChannelThe 11MW standout structure is the world's first commercial thermoelectric solar tower.  Its singularity drew History Channel Modern Marvels' producer to the Andalusian village of Sanlucar la Mayor under clear skies and in +40º C heat to work with Camino Media crew on revealing how environmental technology is reaching new heights.

"I want to let you know how much I enjoyed working with your crew.  They were professional, creative and easy to work with.  Next time I'm in Spain you will be our first call.  Thanks for the great work!"  Greg DeHart, Producer for Actuality Productions.

The History Channel called on Camino Media for its latest instalment in an ongoing series contrasting Hollywood plots with the real story of historical locations.  Producer Jim Gaffey sought a location that featured prominently in the new Ridley Scott feature film, "Kingdom of Heaven", and called on our services when he found it in the north of Spain.

"We had to put together a complicated 2-day shoot in a remote location 4 hours north of Madrid at the last minute.  Camino Media was able to move quickly to get access to Castillo de Loarre, on-camera talent, and a group of medieval re-enactors for the production, the camera package we wanted, and a top-notch, English-speaking crew."  Jim Gaffey, Imaginit Productions, producer of History vs. Hollywood:  Kingdom of Heaven at Loarre Castle in Aragón for History Channel.

The chosen location, Loarre Castle, is a Romanesque gem set among other locations in Spain that Scott used to stage a 12th-Century tale about the crusades in the Holy Land.  The epic setting and all-star cast, with Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Irons, and Liam Neeson, were a box office draw.

Jim adds, "Camino Media was a great source in the production of our one-hour special.  Michael Moffett was a pleasure to work with, and we'd gladly do so again."
