"The shoot went incredibly well overall. You need to credit that to
the people you surround yourself with. We had great people to support
what we did there." Wendy Yamano, Production Manager, Mt. Philo Films for Oracle.
Mt. Philo Films and Skydance Productions called on Camino Media’s Valencia team for support on the ground and at sea in the competition hosted by the Spanish Mediterranean city. Camino Media provided marina office space, local production coordinators and runner-drivers with van transport to move the US – UK crew between locations, and a chase boat with a Cineflex HD mounted onboard to produce some singular footage.
"Michael Moffett honestly saved me from a tremendous amount of
headache. Camino Media crew was truly an invaluable asset. Their local
connections made filming and researching areas easier. They knew all the
back roads and could get us anywhere quickly. They were always able to
keep us ahead of our subject, which was vital especially at the point
the America's Cup was won."
We got assigned to cover the 33rd America's Cup roughly 3 weeks
before it was scheduled to take place. At that point finding people was
difficult - I needed a boat to film from. One of his guys had
connections and got us one. That alone spoke volumes as to what they
could do.
All of his staff spoke at least Spanish and English, with some able
to speak additional languages. We would not hesitate to contact Camino
media again at any point that we were to work in Spain." Wendy Yamano
